So far, this has been a resounding flop.
I completed ONE tote bag (v. cute, Amy Butler fabric from the Lotus collection, Simplicity pattern) and several hats from "Last Minute Knitted Gifts" (using Paton's SWS). That's it.
Yawn.
See that's the thing, I'm having a bitch of a time finishing anything. Any. Thing. Oh, except books. I'm running through those like pork through a...well, you get it.
Just so's we're all on the same page:
Cabled aran pull-over (needs sleeves, screwed up the 1st set AND too short)
Gathered pull-over (half-way through the CF cable section)
V-neck pullover for husband (bottom of the armscye before splitting f/b)
Socks (THREE PAIRS, first sock only)
Simple cardigan (the back is almost done...Xmas pres from 2 years ago. Shame)
Tweed beret (finished increases, nearly finished w/decreases)
Selbubotter mitten (first done)
Must Have Cardigan (1/2 sleeve done)
And I keep looking for more to do!!! Knitting ADD, ya think?
Oh yeah, I also do historic costuming. I'm in the Society for Creative Anachronisms (SCA) (Google it). So that means I also have all sorts of incomplete sewing projects. AAARRGGGHHH! Sorry, I'm a little frustrated with me.
Green wool Viking tunic (for a friend)
Blue Florentine gown
Pale green Milanese gown (haven't even started)
Byzantine cloak w/segmentae (fabric purchased, plan complete, need applique patterns)
My latest (folly) idea is to combine my SCA costuming w/my knitting. I've got 4 2oz sks of fingering weight wool, a knee-sock pattern and size 1 DPN's for hose. Not only will this give me something to work on, but (eventually) my own wool hose. I am chock full o' hope:/
One bright spot in the knitting of it all? I have completed the last repeat on the ankle of the SECOND sock of my Brigits (Ravelry it). Yay, someday I may actually have a pair of socks.
Ugh, must stop. Lucky for me, a chipmunk family has moved in. BABY CHIPMUNKS!!! I have the diabetes now, from the cute.
