HA!
I ordered the yarn for my 17th century stockings! Yay Bush blood money, the perfect excuse for self-indulgent shopping:)
So yeah, 2 1/2 lb cones of Harrisville Highland in Cobalt (yes, that will make me a "bluestocking" of sorts) will be shipped Monday, along with 1 1/2 lb cone (900yds) of the Shetland in Garnet (ooooh, so pretty). I also popped by the Plimoth Plantation site to order the new pattern as mine is about 10 years old and is the f/b of an 8 1/2 x 11" page which was hastily stuffed inside the 2nd edition (c. 1990!) of 17th Century Kitting Patterns. I have a sneaking suspicion this pattern has been through revisions since.
While I'm waiting for my stuff to arrive, I think I'll work on the Gunnister Purse from the pattern book. I'd like to use the Jaeggerspun wools I bought at Pennsic (Google it) last year rather than have them sitting around with the rest of the lot, picking up bad habits and such.
There have been Campi pin-up thoughts running around my poor, underused brain lately. I'd like to redo my "Fruitseller" ensemble in the lovely wool gab I picked up for cheap. I've thoughts about using the Pfaltzgrina's corset as a template for the lining/interlining to get better support and to help disguise my alpha-boob. Hey, they totally padded stuff back in ye day! Shaddup.
